At the beginning of autumn, Europe celebrates European Heritage Days, the continent’s largest shared programme of public events celebrating cultural heritage. The theme for 2026 is Heritage at Risk. For the second time, the Alvar Aalto Route is celebrating European Heritage Days with the Open Alvar Aalto Route Days programme. Throughout September, events organised by Route members will take place across Europe.
