A new mobility service is now available at Säynätsalo Town Hall, combining sustainable transportation with a unique architectural experience. AaltoGo is a hybrid Omago car, available for locals and visitors alike. The car can be picked up right from the iconic Säynätsalo Town Hall – one of Alvar Aalto’s most beloved masterpieces.
This service is part of a wider initiative to promote environmentally conscious travel and make sustainable choices an integrated part of experiencing Aalto’s architectural legacy. AaltoGo also supports a long-term goal: to introduce a fully electric car to Säynätsalo by 2026, just as Aalto’s key works are being proposed for UNESCO World Heritage recognition.

AaltoGo makes it easy to explore the Jyväskylä region and the wider Lakeland area with no need for a private car. The vehicle enables day trips to architectural landmarks and national parks alike, offering flexibility and freedom with a lower environmental impact.
